We just spent a week at Tomoka SP and really enjoyed it. There were about a 100 sites....all in 1 huge loop w/ 3 bathhouses total. The park was well kept and we really enjoyed it. An offshoot of the Tomoka River is right behind some of the campsites & is very accessible....great for bank fishing but I don't think I would swim in it...it was only about 3-6' deep and a bit murky....the kids had a blast catching the zillions of fiddle crabs and fishing. There is a boat ramp within the park as well as canoe rentals and a camp store. Most of the campsites were nice and shady however, most tended to be on the smaller side. The overwhelming majority of campers there that week were in popups or tents. (there are sites to accomodate larger TT's but you may have to book well in advance to assure a site that will fit your rig) The beach is a short drive away...probably about 10 mins. Some of the rangers were a bit cranky and severly lacked customer service skills....but we just ignored them & didn't allow them to be fun-suckers!!!
We will definetly be going back to enjoy this park again.
